Bob Williss and Meg Black from Wirrina Cove on the Fleurieu Peninsula are the proud owners and publicans of this 160-year-old establishment, taking the reins in 2023. Located halfway between Mount Gambier and Port MacDonnell, THE BELLUM HOTEL is a historic country pub built in 1866, with a friendly, welcoming vibe and fun locals. As a true local pub for families, we offer delicious country pub food, cold beers, free games of pool and darts, and somewhere cosy and inviting to hang out. We love kids, so bring them in for a meal, and we also enjoy meeting tourists visiting the area – if you’re looking for advice on what to do and see around here, come in for a chat. We have free camping for self-contained RVs and pub campers (see WikiCamps for details), and The Bellum Backroom hosts our live music, karaoke and open mic nights, welcoming performers travelling between Melbourne and Adelaide or just passing through.
Our Bellum has a magic.... It's hard to describe..... Because it's a feeling you get when you're here and has to be experienced for oneself....
